hmm, i was trying to balance out the comp. a little bit. i was planning on gessoing over from the left side of the new face to the eye. i'll keep an eye on it.

uh oh. Adding the second face tames the composition quite a bit. The figures seem inert now, where before the off-balance composition animated them. The newest figure is rendered more harshly than the first as well. not having that soft quality repeated...

The newest figure is rendered more harshly than the first as well. not having that soft quality repeated gives the drawing a bland lack of unity, or lack of integrity.
