woke up, walked. walked forever. to the venetian, from the tropicana where we were staying. it was 105f or so. man it was hot. ate at this little mexican place alongside a fake venice canal. there were gondola rides with singers n suchgoing up and down while we ate. after lunch we saw the guggenheim gallery @ the venetian. warhol, rauschenburg, oldenburg, lichtenstein, rosenquist. it was neat seeing the things ive learned in class over and over, but the entrance fee was weak. the entire gallery was the size of the area between the front doors and the ticket kiosk @ the SFMOMA. for that it was $25 _with_ a student discount. after the gallery, we were still boiling hot. the entire trip we kept seeing all these people with giant novelty glasses from the paris, or bellagio etc. we stopped in @ the paris and got massive 32oz holding eiffel tower drinks (pina coladas both) and that made the heat a bit more bearable. went back to the room to cool off and nap then went to the best buffet @ mandalay bay. best buffet ive been to. if you're there its called the bay side buffet or something similar. i finally saw a real arcade too. that was neat but i didnt get to play anything. after dinner we were headed back tot he room but it was still early. we had been talking about smoking a cigar in vegas so we started the quest for a cigar. finally found a cigar shop so we both puffed away on a ACV something or other, steph kept the cigar ring. steph and i went outside and sat on the curb and talked and laughed. that was probably the best part so far. tomorrow we go home.
