i had a very big day. worked, ordered a new camera (canon g3) then went home and went to drawing night. got quizno's along the way went to shawn's house. ate too fast. started drawing. got dizzy and pukey. didnt puke. drew left early cause i was out of toothpaste. bought toothpaste. bought "3l3phant" by the white stripes (yes i paid real money for an album, you can all mark this day in your calendar). bought "spirited away"

steph and i cleaned, i did some yardwork, gramma came over to see house with parents. not a very exciting day. its always like the coast at my house. drizzle taht makes the air heavy, sounds like rain as it drips but isnt actually terribly dropletted. got some bookcases from stephs parents on sat and spent some time unpacking crap from totes. only 2 totes left and i will be unpacked.

crit?: 0went to dinner with parents and mom's HS bff for mom's bday. was good. they came over afterwards and it was too late too draw and i had a headache a brewin'. left candles burning when i left house to go back to work form lunch so i had to go back and blow them out... they were on cause the house briefly smelled of dead rat.
crit?: 0loaded a computer into my car to take to work, forgot to shut front door. came home @ 5p... FRONT DOOR WAS WIDE OPEN. that's a special kind of freaky. or it was till i figured out what happened. living in the country it wasnt a big deal, heat was off, screen door was shut. went and got my mom a bday present. her bday is tomorrow, we're going to graziano's in petaluma. when i got home and was tinkering with one of those cheapie $9 rerelease games (tribes2) my phone rang. someone was on the other end. talking. now this may not sound too weird but follow along. I installed a landline phone onto the existing jack several weeks ago for 911 use. i dont have a phone line, it is properly disconnected and im not paying a bill. (nor am i receiving a bill) the phone rang and someone was on the other end and it was a telemarketeer (t-e-l, e-m-a, rkter, mickey mouse!) So he did his "good evening sir i am conducting a survey blahty blah" and i interrupted him: "what number did you call?" "uh i dont know the computer randomly dials, but it will tell me at the end of the survey" "oh ok, let's do this thing then" (he asks age) "oh im sorry we've filled the quota for 23yrolds..." "ok... so can i have that phone number then?" "it only tells me if you complete the survey" fuckokbye... so i have hte ability to receive landline calls. it was pretty spooky though i didnt know what the ring sounded like (i hadnt ever heard it) and i was expecting a "you have 7 days" kind of message.

crit?: 0offered to go to mass with steph, she didnt end up wanting to go so i didnt press. we went down to sanjose/los altos to her family's easter dinner. i was wiggy at first. lots of people who wanted to be right where i was standing, no matter where i was standing... i settled down afte ra bit. im not in the crowd that gets to go hide in a room and play video games. was kind of weird. 4 teenage boys dissapeared into a room and didnt invite me caus ei was too old or something. natural instinct was to go play video games of course. i had to be an adult and drink wine and chat though. its weird being an adult. i bleed ink.
crit?: 2had a splitting dizzy headache till 2 or so, tilled a planter, mowed. i need to pick up a weedwhacker. went to easter dinner @ parents house, saw sis etc. dinner was good.
crit?: 1well. sealed them in it seems. spent all last night banging on wall with a boot so they would stop chewing. went to lunch with leah, worked at work. same ol' same ol'. took steph on a date. we had sushi, no good movies are playing nearby so we rented a couple.

crit?: 0i thoguth i'd be able to work in photoshop all day today, put together our emailer and so on. that didnt happen. got frustrated with 2 new fax machines so i took em back and got 2 better models. that was a nice chunk out of the day. got 1000 count sell sheets back from print house. came back better than i expected (their proof was worthless) so now i have a .acv + color correction schema compatible with their press. thats a good feeling. picked up a pellet gun today, GAMO pt80 (no laser kit (yet)) not really good enough to take out an opossum, but that isnt my goal. taking out rats is my goal. talked to dad he's gonna lend me a ladder.
watched the rats again tonight, definitely know which hole they are using. i will be patching it up as soon as i can borrow a ladder. went to san rafael again today. got to train a superintendant who hadnt ever had a computer at the jobsite. it was really refreshing cause he was receptive to both training and suggestions on how it might make his job easier. he seemed pretty eager to learn. I must admit i was expecting him to be a "oh i dont know anything about computers" (therefore i wont try to learn) kinda guy. he admitted he didnt know but man was he picking things up quick. metroid fusion is tubular. fyi. gbasp + metroid = early 90's gaming feel. (that's good.) steph came over tonight, late. we wen tto bed not long after she came over. :/ she's on spring break so tomorrow she's going to meet a friend in the city.
crit?: 0ugh that fucking opposum,. the next time i see it its getting shot through with something. woke up about every hour last night. stove kept mysteriously beeping. @ 3:12am i went scrambling for the manual. next stop, unplugsville. opossum had a disastrous fall from roof peak to bedroom roof. hope he didnt hurt hisself >:( he also must have been hungry cause he spent most of the night trying to chew through my frikkin wall. live catch traps are $89, poison is abundant and pellet guns are $200. the hippy route didnt have a price (urea/urine of coyote powder)... ok just went into attic... several hours later. ive spent a considerable amount of time outside. didnt see the opossum but i see where the rats are coming in and out. so ill be baiting and grating that hole once i get a ladder. i shot an arrow off at the rat but i missed. went and got my wrist rocket but the fucker was already dissapeared.
crit?: 3more rain. rain rain rain. we wanted to plant the garden this weekend but it rained far too much. i went stir crazy in the cabin. the opposum woke us up.
crit?: 1its raining cats and dogs. reading a lot. went and ran a ton of errands. woo exciting updates! new pillows that are large. i kept getting headaches cause princess steph stole all my pillows. so now we both have the same pillow amount. and matching pillow cases. its a good think she's a girl elseif id prolly be worried. finally got a haircut. a real one that i paid money for. was too short for me to cut it myself again, and i can afford it now. SPLURGIN' ON HAIRCUTS.

crit?: 0work was hellishly lame. caught a 20min lunch (and that was it for the day) or so, was falling asleep by 5 cause i was so exhausted. lots of running to and fro and lifting. came home mowed lawn and mended a fence. grilled up a coupla steaks then drew for most of the night. started a larger drawing and worked on some pussy ass piece of shit i had laying around.
crit?: 0got a gbasp last night. it pwnz. i wasnt too impressed at first, but its growing on me. mainly there is too much glare on the screen. this is an obsession i started in 1989 though so i must continue. wen tto drop off movies and commence drawing night. its spring break so noone was on campus when i went to get shawn. silvanieand her brother julian came over and we drew etc. i think tomorrow night i will begin setting up a painting studio.
crit?: 1received my formal letter today. the drawing went for $565 in that auction. meanwhile im finally getting back on my feet. wish i coulda seen some of that $565. hell, wish i woulda got whatever prize they said was coming to me so many months ago. just about through with lotr:tfotr. im itchin' to draw i think.
crit?: 0picked up proofs today, they are pretty alright. new girl started, she is new old girl. she worked for us for several months or weeks or somethign a long while ago. eveyrone liked her so now she has a full timey position (instead of the temp thing she had) wot else. oh spring break is here for many of you etc. good show eh? bought a shitpot full of groceries this weekend. hopefully these last longer. began reading lotr:tfotr almost done with that, good book.

things broke: heater/thermostat, new subwoofer. steph bought me beer and movies and a space heater for her cause i dont get cold (METAL FACE GRRR) and i didtn shoot an opossum that was fuckign around my house. im not sure what is in my attic still but the other noise is the opossum. went to jasper's show just in time for them to be done and packing up thank-you-very-much-carnal-instincts. jasper gave us a demo cd. the last thing i heard on my poor sub. i drew, as you can see to the left. It is no longer important to point out that i drew 'fore you should be able to see via the pics on the right. stayed and watched shawn weld on wednesday night, till very very late. the art opening was the next day (on thurs) and i went to that and had some wine etc. not a particularly stunning show but not the worst ever.
