i was around a sick accountant for 5mins yesterday. i felt funny in the tummy. today i woke up feeling like i had a spider crawl in my mouth during the night. got sicker and sicker as the day progressed. canceled seeing-steph night. uploaded those doodles.
crit?: 1drawing night tonight. lookd through magazines, played coop zelda four swords and coop ffta. didnt draw much. i'll upload a bunch of doodles tomorrow. bleh.
crit?: 0went and saw "lost in translation." got sad, went home. watched the brothers quay collection, got sadder. drew for awhile but didnt like them.
crit?: 9woke up early(er), drove to neensy's house. set all them up for wifi/bband. drove home, drove to big5 and got deer tags/license for hunty vacay next week. drove to SR for art opening @ a street, drove to parents house, drove to movie place, drove home. rented the gangs of new york and a collection of films by the brothers quay, 1983-1993.
crit?: 1work, went to stephs to see football. she told me she's going to buy a place over there.
crit?: 0i dont know what happened today, probably nothing.
crit?: 0i am 7lb's shy of high school weight. i ran last night to leaveknife in car and my legs are sore today. i saw tarik naber too. i gave him a card so hopefuly he emails. we were friends in high school. what else. oh, i uploaded a doodle i did while talking to sales @ softwarehouse.
crit?: 0went and took photos @ a jobsite early in the day. the annual membership for this golf club is $42,500.000 with monthly dues of $385.00 and a quarterly minimum food and beverage fee of $120
42,500.00 + 4260.00 + 480.00 = $47,240.00
$47,240.00 for golf, restaurant and bar access and a gym/training center.
the phrase "unmitigated gall" ran through my head a lot.
went back to work after tha tto review photos, played some et @ lunch (quadrophonic/surround sound in office :))
after work it was time to go see radiohead. we left my house around 5.45p for a 7.30p show in mountain view. we had to stop in san rafael to pick up mel's guy. we got to the show around 9.30p, missed supergrass entirely and 2 radiohead songs. man that was somethign though.
ive never thought of thom as animated, but he jumped around that stage like a post modern dance monkey on uppers. really, next time you see me, ask and i will imitate his moves with sincerity. it was great i hadnt ever been to a big concert like that, it was very mechanical and polished. thom messed up his beat/line on the last song of the second encore and had to run over to one of the guitar players to get his queue/lyrics.
he apologized to the crowd and was pretty sheepish. at another part he was singing into one of the little cameras mounted around the stage and he was getting pretty close to it, i'd say maybe 4" from it. pretty odd. you wouldnt think of thom yorke as the kind of guy that would blast his mug in that close of detail acrossed 20ft monitors.
our seats were great, i would have been able to nail the drummer with a rock, if i had a rock. we were 14 rows back from the stage. the drive home i slept mostly, i dont get the chance to be a passenger often so i wasnt as wrecked and nervous as i get when i go in or through SF. we got home around 2.30a
crit?: 3fyi its my birthday. i am 24. set up quadrophonic sound at work, sub on the wall with no people. its a pretty nice day so far. the ghosts @ my house opened the fridge door last night so im going to have to throw away the steak i had in there. :/ i propped a chair against the door when i went to work so they cant open the door again. oh HS is leaving work. no more.
i am not alone in my ffta'age though there were 24 hours in the day yesterday and i still only have 5hrs on ffta. holy smokes! melissa just called, she has an extra ticket to radiohead tomorrow night, vip passes to bar + box seating. at first i wanted to say no because i was nervous about it (shoreline ampitheatre) but then i figured it was proly a once in a lifetime thing so here i go!
crit?: 5woke up early with ms steph. stayed up and started working on chores and errands and whatnot. landlord is going to paint my house woo! couldnt get ahold of deer tags today but tomorrow. got some new boxers. i should say got gouged. jcpenney super lame brand was $17 for a pack of 3 bleh. so finished workign and stuff around noon and couldnt find anythign to do and it was 90f or so so i napped and played video games. it was pretty relaxing after the past go-go week. rip galileo.
crit?: 3finished housework. demasked ceiling, cleaned that mess up, rehung a bathroom cabinet that had rusted through its hinges. steph came over a bit later so we could go to dinner with shawn and silvanie. went to la vera and it was good this time! its been hit or miss the last several years. im way into ffta. shawn got me zelda! woo now we can play four swords (woo)
crit?: 0blaster2 is supposed to show up this weekend, make sure you all are patched. w2k/wxp users go here and get your appropriate patch. also for the swen virus going around irght now, here is the procmail rule i came up with that seems to be working:
VERBOSE = YES
#change this to your preferrred log location, typically /var/log/foo.log
LOGFILE = /home/virus/virus.log
:0 H
*^Content-type: (multipart/mixed)
{
#
# Look at the body to find out if there is some .ocb or .vbs
# or... attached,
# if yes, send the mail to /dev/null
:0 B
*^Content-Disposition: (attachment|inline)
*filename=".*\.(ocx|vbs|wsf|shs|exe|com|bat|chm|pif|vbe|hta|scr)"
{
:0
#location to send viruses to typically /dev/null but i keep them around in case of false positive
/home/virus
}
#.... other rules
#w32.swen pattern/body matching
:0B
#body text to search for
*Cumulative Patch
{
:0
#modify virus/msg path
/home/virus
}
}
here is a great description of the virus, as you can see matching that part of the body was the easiest and less resource intensive. it will only scan multipart messages for Cumulative Patch (instead of every variation of the subject)plus you can replace cumulative patch with some body snippet of whatever else comes along. the first part of the recipe typically blocks all other hazardous attachments, but still makes them available (by sending them to /home/virus) incase there is a false positive.you can either put this in your /home/user/.procmailrc or if you are an admin /etc/procmailrc . if you are an admin please test first as i make no guarantee etc etc.

crit?: 0Went to work, puttered and worked and built. went home, couldnt bear to do more home repair. called steph up to go meet her. we met in napa, ironically at the very same place where i first said "i love you" neither of us could bear to break up so we sat around and worked on a plan to try to make things work, a time limit and the rules etc. it seems like such a waste to throw away what is otherwise really good. so we've got a set plan now and hopefully it will work for as long as it needs to.
she gave me my bday present early (its this monday the 22nd) as we had been planning on breaking up but she still wanted to give me my present, odd. she gave me ffta. (woo)
crit?: 2went to shawn 's for drawing night. we didnt draw. shawn and i went and got mexican. after, we went to get silvaniepierced but we missed bear by several minutes. silvaniealso cut my hair so i no longer look like a shaggy elfboy.
crit?: 0began painting tonight. the work is good for keeping my mind off matters. though, it is only partially effective as the long periods of silence (which i am still not used to) are not broken up by anything other than my thoughts and the swish swish of brush and roller. brooding and dwelling and home repair.
after primer coat was done i went into santa rosa to have a drink with shawn and silvanie@ 3rd st. i spilled my guts out and they brought up some interesting points. i talked with steph and its the conclusion that i suspected.
finished painting pantry shelves, no bugs. food goes back in pantry. began sealing ceiling chinks. a ziploc bag filled with spackle, with a corner cut off makes an excellent spackle delivery device. however i figured this out after wasting time on two chinks (of 6 or so).
things are not so well.
woke up around 10, steph let out a yelp. ants had invaded the pantry. not a big deal, thats what ants do. we stripped out the pantry and then noticed the maggots. new dead thing dropping maggots through ceiling. went to home depot and got some spackle, sealed up pantry then landlord brought over some stain seal primer and i coated the entire inside of the pantry off. i would say it could hold water now. thats what ill be doing to the ceiling this coming week.
crit?: 6woke up real early and drove to davis to help sis move into her new place, set up dsl. came home met steph, paid rent, helped landlord with computery stuff, got into it with steph. bleh. this week has been so draining.
crit?: 0spent my friday the way i spend them all, doing nothing and puttering around the house. got pretty drunk and played computer games.
crit?: 0work, then yard work.
crit?: 0work, big meeting then shawn's for drawing. he got a black gbasp and final fantasy tactics advance. i want.
crit?: 1monday. preparing for a meeting. worked on new website/project.
crit?: 0went to muir woods and walked around then had a picnic. then we went to stinson beach. i regegd a new site today for collab work that shawn and i do. ill post the link once its live.
crit?: 0saturday tomorrow i reg a new site. also, we went grocery shopping.
crit?: 0so the purple fuzzy plant sara gave me umpteen billion years ago has now sprouted an orange flower. i took pics just in case it never happened again. pic. i did some googling just now and apparently its called a "purple passion" i had never seen this one flower over the years, and i never saw sara's gramma's many plants flower. this page says it will start to smell now. Gynura aurantiaca.
crit?: 0beat ico. if you have a ps2, you need ico. stressful day at work today. making progress though.i havent had soda in several days, and ive been drinking water like a fiend. came into work 15mins late this morning. then got called into big boss meeting but for a diff issue.
crit?: 312hr day. then drew. drawing nights are now collaborative nights.
crit?: 0
boring day at work. went home. empty house. drew a little fucked around on internet a lottle.
crit?: 0woke up to stephs dog, phone, parent's phone, bird outside, powered something, garbage truck, dog, dog dog, dog, dogbarking, other dog barking. kill mode set to on. ugh. then we drove to sacramento for no reason. the teacher store she was supposed to get somethign at was closed. drove back to vtown. two accidents on the way so that took too long. drove back home and went over to shawn and sil's. we went to aroma's then drew.
